
The 73-80 shackle bracket provides a solid mount to your classic square body truck!
Bolts up to stock holes in 73-80 4x4 GM truck, Blazer, Suburban, and Crew Cab frames - also fits 2wd trucks - but may require drilling.
Installation is simple - bolt the Engineered Vintage Shackle Bracket to frame and you have two solid front tow points protruding from underneath the stock bumper for pulling / vehicle recovery.

73-80 GM Shackle Brackets each attach with (3) grade 8 bolts & accept a Shackle / Clevis with up to a 7/8" pin diameter.
Some trucks that do not have factory tow hook holes may require drilling 1/2” diameter holes in frame.
Kit includes:
- (2) 3/4" steel laser cut brackets in black powder coat finish
- (6) Grade 8 1/2" x 2" long bolts
- (12) 1/2" washers
- (6) 1/2" lock nuts
*Note that shackles are not included in our kits with the variety of options available on the market and to keep costs low.

Engineering:
Laser cut from A-36 equivalent steel, with tensile failure point of 36,000 lbs / square inch or higher.
Grade 8 bolts of 5/8 diameter will fail at 40,000 lbs (in shear) or better per bolt
