Designed, produced, finished, welded, and shipped from Damascus, Oregon USA.
The Grille AF is engineered to fit your truck - and is intended to last as long (or longer) than your truck. All of our products are produced in the Pacific Northwest by top craftsman. The aluminum is precision cut on a CNC laser, formed on a CNC press brake, brushed (or polished) by hand, and TIG welded! Once complete, each Grille AF is inspected, kitted, and packaged to be shipped to you.
The 85-87 Chevy Grille AF has a 3/16" thick aluminum top & bottom, and formed horizontals, verticals, and backers to complete the grille. There are steel mounts to bolt factory marker lights (turn signals) into correct location.
Your 85-87 Grille AF comes standard with:
- Grille AF
- Raw Steel decorative inserts (option to upgrade to color or polished stainless)

Steel Marker Light Mounts
- one left, one right - these are hidden behind the Grille AF
- raw steel unless color-match or polished stainless center trim is selected
- (1) Stainless steel bowtie mount with bottle opener
- (4) horizontal CNC billet trim pieces in polished finish
- (2) vertical top CNC billet trim in polished finish
- (2) vertical bottom CNC billet trim in polished finish
- (1) hardware to assemble
Assembly required.
Center trim piece, 8 billet trim pieces, bowtie mount, and bowtie must be assembled onto Grille AF by customer.
We recommend installation of this onto truck with two people
The 85-87 Grille AF has a bolt on bow-tie mount in the center of the grille to hold the classic 85-87 style Chevy bowtie (GM licensed) (bolts to grille) The bowtie holder is made from stainless steel - and has a bottle opener underneath it - directly under the bowtie.
The 85-87 Grille AF mounts in the same holes as your factory plastic grille - bottom outer mounts are replaced with 1/4-20 bolts. Installs with no cutting, drilling, or trimming - but we do recommend it is installed with two people.
Your headlight bezels must be removed to install this grille.
No drilling required (in stock 85-87 trucks)
Finish options:
1) Brushed finish: These are machine finished to a brushed finish on two sides of each piece (front edge retains laser cut profile)
2) Powder coated finish: Powder coated Grille AF in the color of your choice using top quality powder coat from Cardinal Powder
3) Polished finish: For the ultimate in appearance. These are hand polished on two (or three) sides of each piece (front edges and exposed visible side(s)
FAQ:
1) Is there a clear coat on these grilles?
No. Each clear coat we have found on the market has issues (whether clear powder, clear anodize, or spray clear) - most of these do not play well with UV light from the sun. Similar to aluminum wheels, these grilles will need to be periodically polished for best appearance. If you have a clear coat to recommend - please reach out to us - we would love to discuss.
2) Can you do custom coatings - I want a black/silver/etc… powder coated grille?
